Look, it's not your fault!

We live in a society that bombards us with messages about how art is frivolous, artists never make any money, marketing always bothers people, and how we could be spending our time doing something more valuable.

But I call BS on all of that! And if you're reading this, there's something I need you to know:

Your work is awesome and beautiful and amazing and the world deserves to know about it!! (And you deserve to get paid well for making it!)

But I know that for many of you, just hearing that message isn’t enough. You’ve got to believe it.

Here’s the deal:

If you really want to grow your business as an artist and maker, you’ve got to get your head on straight! You’ve got to believe, deep down in your core, that your products bring value to the world and that they are worth paying for! Until you do, you’re always going to half-ass your marketing and self-sabotage your sales.

That's the bad news.

But here's the good news!

You can bust through your limiting beliefs, fall in love with your art, craft, or handmade products, and learn to market in a way that feels good to YOU and your customers!

I've spent my life around art. My mother was a painter and I grew up taking drawing classes and going to museums. I have a BFA and an MFA in Metalsmithing. I've taught art for years. I freaking love art.

And yet none of that has made me immune to the mental roadblocks that impact artists and makers who want to sell their work. Just like you, I've had some serious moments of doubt throughout my creative career - everything from "shouldn't I be doing something more valuable with my life?" to "is my work really worth that much?"

But fortunately for you, I've also done the deep work to find and articulate the value of what I do. And along the way, I've developed some pretty strong beliefs about the power of art and handmade goods to impact the world. I've also coached numerous artists and makers to help them see the value in their art as well.

And in Sell Without Shame, I want to help you do the same! I want you to feel, deeply, that not only does art have value to the world, but that YOUR art has value. And I want you to take that understanding and turn it into sales confidence!

We’ll start by doing the deep introspective work that so many traditional programs on marketing and selling are missing. You’ll learn to let go of limiting beliefs and find the cultural need for what you make. You’ll identify what really makes your products great (hint: it’s not because they “solve a problem”) and you’ll learn to speak a more sensory and emotional sales language. And you’ll get real about the guilt and money blocks that keep you from selling with confidence.

Once you’ve done the inner work, we’ll pivot to the practical. The final four modules will focus on selling in specific places - we’ll start with selling on your website, which includes not only your copy, but really using your product photography to sell. Then we’ll talk about the most powerful tool for selling your work - email. We’ll talk about selling over social, and then we’ll dive into the newest frontier of selling online - video.

Does it matter what part of the world I'm in?

Nope! You can take this class from anywhere as long as you have Internet access that allows you to stream data. All the lessons are recorded, so you can watch them at a time that’s convenient for you!

What do I need to access the lessons?

You will need a computer or mobile device with Internet. (While you can watch the lessons on your phone, I’d recommend a computer or tablet so you can see the content a little better!) All lessons are accessed through my online learning platform powered by Thinkific.

How long will each lesson last?

Each lesson will last around 60-90 minutes. You'll also receive homework each week, which should take you an an hour or so to complete, depending on how deep you want to go.

How long will I have access to the material?

You’ll have lifetime access to the material! (Perfect if you get a little behind or want to revisit the course material later.)

Who is this class for?

This class is for artists, makers, and designers who want to promote their products or art sales online.

What do I need to take advantage of this class?

You need a website where you sell your products online.

Will I be able to ask questions or get feedback?

Yes! The online learning platform features a discussion area for each lesson where you can share what you're working on, ask questions, and get feedback from Megan!

Is the online discussion area a Facebook group or something else?

No, the online discussion area is not a Facebook group! (I'm not using them anymore.) Instead, it's integrated into the online learning platform so you can access everything in one place!

Is there are cut-off for when I can get feedback on the class?

Nope! My online teaching platform notifies me anytime someone asks a question, so I'll be there to answer it whether it's three weeks, three months, or three years after you initially joined the class!

How quickly will my questions be answered?

Questions posted Monday through Thursday will be answered within 24 hours. Questions posted Friday through Sunday will be answered Monday morning.

How are payments handled?

When you click the "Join" button you'll be prompted to create an account at learn.meganauman.com (If you've already taken another class with me on that platform, you can just sign in!) From there, you'll be able to pay via PayPal or credit card. (You'll need a credit card to use the payment plan option.)

Does the class start immediately?
